FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is this a Shopify gift card?
No. Each certificate is a single-use Shopify discount code for the certificate value. It is redeemed in the normal checkout; there is no remaining balance and no cash payout.
What happens when my allowance is used up?
Certificates for paid orders are still issued. The app shows your usage so you can move to the next plan when you need to.
Which languages does the app support?
The interface is available in German and English. Certificates and emails are set to German or English per template.
Where do recipient name and gift message come from?
From the line-item details your store asks for at checkout. If they are missing, the recipient line stays blank – you can add it per certificate in the app and send the certificate again.
Where is the data processed?
On a server in Germany (IONOS) with an encrypted database. Emails are sent by Resend from servers in the EU. The data processing agreement is linked under “DPA”.
Can I revoke or resend certificates?
Yes. In the certificate overview you resend emails, edit recipient and gift message, and revoke certificates – which also deactivates the Shopify discount code.
